Locktober Reflection #4
In today’s post, everything revolves around the topic of commitment in the context of chastity. To say it right away: without this quality, I wouldn’t have made it this far in my locked journey.
People often ask how I manage to stay self-locked without a keyholder – and how I resist the temptation to secretly unlock myself just to get off. (I can assure you 100% that I really don’t – scout’s honor!) But this is exactly where commitment comes into play. After nearly 600 days of permanent chastity, I would have probably given up a long time ago if I hadn’t developed a certain passion and discipline for this lifestyle over time.
That’s why I keep emphasizing that subs who hold their own keys are not worth any less than those lucky enough to have a Master, Sir, or Owner. We’re often smiled at or not taken seriously — I’ve been there myself. A few months ago, for example, someone on a well-known online platform told me that I wasn’t truly practicing chastity because I still had access to my own key.
Even today, I would strongly disagree. Because again, that’s exactly where commitment comes in. Being self-locked ultimately means that I embody two roles at once: that of the locked sub, and that of the keyholder. And that also means I’m accountable to myself if I break the rules I’ve set and lived by during this long journey of chastity.
By now, this has even led to some potential keyholders losing interest in me, because during conversations they got the impression that I wouldn’t really need them anymore. I don’t mean to brag or sound arrogant by saying this — but I do believe it shows how powerful commitment can be as a tool, and how much potential lies within all of you, even without being owned.
It’s a lesson I learned from my friend Sol, whom I still lovingly call my Coach to this day. Back when I started my journey into permanent chastity, he helped me find my own path within this kink — or rather, lifestyle. One of the tools he encouraged me to use was a chastity tracker, where I began logging my locked periods along with things like my workouts, diet, and daily habits. Keeping track of all that not only helped me maintain a clearer overview of my progress and achievements, but it also became a kind of “logbook” or reference whenever I talked to other superior males.
That’s why I often recommend this very practice to fellow chastity subs who struggle a bit — those who already have everything they need to stay locked, but sometimes lack the willpower or confidence. So if you’d like to give this method a try — and what better time than Locktober to start — I’ve linked two templates below that you can easily adapt to your own needs. I’m pretty sure you’ll discover how much commitment, discipline, and dedication already lie within you.
And most importantly: don’t get discouraged if things don’t always go as planned. Those are usually the moments that teach us the most — and the ones that help us grow the strongest.
With that said — make something out of it!
